Project 32; Primary colours

Above yellow on a Munsell colour chart.

I cannot think of anything more yellow than a lemon. Here I shot at 1/60 second at f4.5. I think the colour here is close to the yellow on the colour wheel.

again at 1/60th of a second but at f 4.0. The colour differnce between the two shots is very hard to discern but i think this is closer to the yellow on the colour wheel.

Here at 1/60th of a second but f5.0. the yellow here is a little towards green, the colour temperature is lower than the other two shots.

Here is blue as on a Munsell colour checker chart.

Blue sky at the average meter reading, light blue.

One stop slower, slightly more exposed. Very light blue.

One stop faster, slightly under exposed. Darker than the patch.

Red on the same chart.

Again a brackets series of reds but none match the colour checker. All see too blue

So here I have adjusted the colour temperature to 5500. The others are all at 3550, which must explain the blueness of the colour, its almost violet. This is the closet to the colour patch.

Its crazy how much colour varies to the eye. I would have assumed that it was easy to find close matching colours to the colour circle but not so. White balance seems to have a big influence but right now I am not sure how.
